It was hot. The air in my bedroom wasn’t circulating well, so I went to Home Depot to buy a small fan. I took my time comparing prices and features. I noticed the words, “Whisper Quiet” emphasized on every box, but the prices were $25 and up. Surely there’s a fan for less! I rummaged through the stock until I spied some small fans, hidden behind very expensive larger fans. The words, “Whisper Quiet” were conspicuously absent on the small boxes. Does this mean I’ll hear an awful whining sound when it‘s plugged in? The price was right at only $10.99. Should I take a chance on one?

I decided the deal was too good to pass up. When I got home, I plugged in the fan while wearing my hearing aids. As expected, I heard an irritating, whining sound, which prompted me to remove my hearing aids.   Instantly, I realized this IS the perfect fan.  In fact, it’s “Whisper Quiet!”
